Shannon Hendrick's current event assessment on the article "New Blood Test Shows Promise in Cancer Fight." Gina Kolata's article had a lot of wonderful stuff in it. The first thing I noticed was how she used straight quotes from the article to help establish her thesis. She employs statements from experts in the subject, such as Dr. Jose Baselga. Shannon also provided a good overview of the paper and a hook using facts and statistics to support the review's structure. The general issue was also addressed in a straightforward and understandable manner. Overall, there were many successful points stated in this review, and it was evident how it related to the rest of the world.

Although this was an excellent review, it might have been much better. I believe she utilized too many quotes, and the reader was overwhelmed by so many strong phrases from experts. Although she attempted to clarify some of them, I believe she might have done a better job of defining some of the phrases or providing company information. In addition, I would have appreciated this review more if the critique paragraph had been more detailed. The critique paragraph is frequently confusing and short, and it does not provide enough information to enhance the review's structure. Aside from that, I was impressed with this review and thought it was a success in general.

The theme of the paper was one of the things that motivated me. I know individuals who have been touched by cancer, and it has been a battle for them, and we are so close to finding a cure, and I find the dedication to find a cure incredible. Shannon's writing educated me and piqued my interest in the subject.
