I reviewed the article, “When the Delta variant dominated, vaccination and prior infection protected against Covid-19, but vaccination was safest, study finds.” by Deidre McPhillips, which explains/analyzes a study published by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Scientists did the study based of vaccination and prior infection to see which helped more to protect against Covid-19. They first introduce the study and give a lot of background information on who what where and when about the study. After thoroughly explaining it they then to show/anylaze the actual results. And finally it comes to a conclusion with and very clear quote on vaccination.

The Study is recent and actually ongoing so they made sure to answer all questions people may have about the study in the beginning. For example, it says, “according to a study published Wednesday by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention” which answered who is making the study and if they’re reputable. Then it says, “The data included in the study was collected before the Omicron wave in the United States, and before boosters were widely available. The CDC says it will publish additional data on Covid-19 vaccines, boosters and the Omicron variant later this week.” Which shows they’re Keeping up with this information in real-time and is made sure to have all the information on the study before announcing the actual results to not mislead anybody. It did a great job comparing introducing the study making sure the readers knew it was relevant and what the study was conducted on and when it was conducted on and that it was coming from a good source. This checked all the boxes on making it not to be misleading and was very quick and to-the-point in a very good beginning.
