The article "MAVEN moves into orbit around Mars, will investigate
atmospheric mystery" is about NASA's new probe, MAVEN, that will orbit Mars and collect data. The purpose of this mission is to get data about why Mars appears to have lake beds even though it's atmosphere is less than one percent of Earth's, and when it's atmosphere disappeared. One of the major questions that will hopefully be answered is weather or not there was any life on Mars in the past. Scientist will use that data to figure what kind of life may have been there and why and when it disappeared.
I picked this article because I was very interested in the idea that there could be life on other planets when I was younger and I thought this might be the thing that finds it. The idea that there was once life on another planet makes me wonder if we are not alone in the universe. I also recently heard about India's space program on the news so I decided to look at NASA's version.I thought the article was a very good article and it kept me interested. There were many experts who have statements about the subject. It talked about the future of the prob and how it and India's probe will be working together.
I do think that the author could have given a little bit of a background about the history of the project and talked about India's probe and given it name. The author also could have talked about how the two probes will help each other. If these things were addressed in the article I think it would have made it better.
