Having your phone go off in class or during a meeting can be a pain. Scientists at Carnegie Mellon University think they have a solution to this problem. Their goal is to make a silicon rubber sticker that can customly fit onto your wrist to manage and access your mobile device. The project is being worked on as “iSkin”. These stickers will have certain points where they can feel touch sensitive pressure. In the article, the author states,“By operating these touch input stickers, users can use their own body to control mobile devices. Because of the flexible material used, the sensors can be manufactured in a variety of shapes, sizes and personalized designs.” Other features are answering calls and changing volume on a media device. Users will also be able to design and customize their own design for their “iSkin”.

This is very useful to myself and daily life. This device will help simplify daily life on a mobile device by helping answering phone calls and other helpful things such as muting your phone. The material used is very comfortable and will not be noticed very much. Other applications could be helpful for daily life such as a keyboard sticker which you could send texts or emails. Although, this could be a distraction during a meeting or class. I think that this device would be helpful for daily life and a great invention.

This article was very informative about this new product and how it can help daily life. This website and article is trustworthy and shows data to prove points.
